TPO and Flat Roofing
TPO and Flat Roofing
TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin) is a single-ply white-membrane used in commercial and residential flat roofing. Because of its elastic white color, TPO reflects heat instead of absorbing it (in comparison to EPDM and Torch flat roofs). TPO keeps the space below cooler, whether it is an attic in a house or warehouse workspace. TPO usually lasts 25 years with proper installation. As with all flat roofing, proper drainage and unclogged downspouts are key to preventing leaks and prolonging life of flat roofs.
